Our Approach

At The Movement Lab, we take a holistic, science-based approach to health and performance, combining the latest research with conservative treatment methods to help you achieve your goals. Whether it's managing pain or enhancing performance, we're here to support you for a lifetime.

Guided by the principle "Movement is medicine," we use movement as a powerful tool to improve health. With this approach, we reduce pain, boost well-being, and build resilience. We promote movement at every stage of life through functional rehabilitation, physical activity, exercise, and sports, ensuring you move well and with purpose.

We also believe that "the concepts are few, but the methods are many." We understand the body is governed by principles, and our approach is to tailor the right method to address the specific issue at hand. Our goal is to find the solution that works best for you to achieve the desired outcome.

If movement is medicine, we reject the cultural norm that aging means less movement. In fact, we believe it means more. A lack of movement shortens both health span and lifespan. Our mission is to foster a community that fully embraces and maximizes movement potential for everyone we serve.

Our distinguishing factors:

Our Approach

Using movement as a powerful tool to reduce pain, enhance well-being, and build resilience at every stage of life

1. Integrate

We utilize a wide lens of chiropractic, functional rehabilitation, and exercise assessments and treatments to find what works best for you.

2. Educate

We aim to simplify what led to your pain or injury and how to minimize the risk of this occurring in the future, along with communicating the health benefits of exercise.

3. Personalize

Each plan of care or training regime is customized to meet your unique needs, ensuring effective and lasting results.

4. Guide

For every plan, we guide you through to the end, ensuring your questions are answered and you are confident throughout your whole duration of care, whether that be chiropractic, performance, or both!

5. Invigorate

Continuing to chase new endeavors by showing you the power of movement, so you can prioritize it to your fullest potential, throughout the rest of your life.

Pathway to Performance:

Our guide, is simple but not simplistic. Meaning, the puzzle pieces are always the same shape and size but the picture in the end looks different for everyone. We use this framework to paint a picture of understanding on how we can help and give realistic expectations for what is needed from us and you to get to the outcome you are looking for.

We use the three step process for both our chiropractic and performance services. We call it, “The Movement Lab’s Pathway to Performance.”

1. Renew

  • This is what people tend to think of when they describe chiropractic or any other manual clinician.

  • This involves hands-on treatments performed by a clinician such as adjustments, soft tissue, mobilizations, etc.

  • Think of this as performing a "reset" on your body.

2. Rebuild

  • Our focus turns to functioning better

  • The goal is to restore your pain-free lifestyle while introducing functional rehabilitation.

  • This is stage is what separates a nagging pain from one that is gone for good.

  • This stage is aimed at restoring and retraining range of motion (mobility), stability (motor control), and proper movement patterns (functional ability)

3. Refine

  • Building capacity for improved resilience against future injury

  • Reload the frame with progressive exercises that help maintain and build upon restored movement capabilities

  • This is where rehab starts to look a lot more like exercise and where our goal is to help make this transition look seamless.

  • Achieve all the health benefits that come along with living a fully active life through prescription exercise.
